Sensei Robert Robinson

robert-editedSensei Robert Robinson began training in traditional Shotokan karate at the High River Karate Club in 1980. He competed in multiple Provincial and National tournaments, including the Western Canadian championships. In 1992 Sensei Robert had the opportunity to travel to Sapporo, Japan, to train as part of an exchange program through Karate Alberta.

In 2005 Robert took over as Sensei of the Tekka Karate Club in Vulcan, Alberta, and in 2015 he became Sensei for the High River Karate Club.

Sensei Robert is a Shichidan (7th degree) black belt, with over 40 years experience training, and  20 years experience teaching the art of Shotokan karate.

Sensei Robert sadly passed away in February of 2025 and is dearly missed by members of both organizations.
